The focal point of the picturesque Paphos harbour, this small fort has a colourful history as a fort and prison under many administrators. The present incarnation was built by the Turks in 1586 and was last actively used by the British. The fort and harbour area is extremely popular with couples who want a photography venue that captures the essence of their wedding in Paphos.
